Ozone is a game with an interesting history. Released in 1989, creator Nick Harper had always envisioned to make this a full commercial game. Everything seemed right. The game got a lot of attention from distributors, however, once they learned Ozone was created using STOS, all of them backed out one after the other. So in the end it was decided to release the game as shareware.January 21, 2018 by ST Graveyard
Supa Zazai Da is an old school horizontal shooter ... with a story! It is clear that the creators ate one too many mushrooms when coming up with this stuff, and I love them for it. You play as Dr. Floyd. Mario and Sonic abducted your girlfriend Maria Whittaker! (Say whut?) So now it is up to you to rescue your natural 36DD breasted girlfriend while shooting your way through hordes of retro game characters. January 8, 2018 by ST Graveyard
This game sounds like a porn movie! Yes indeed. We are treated with extremely moody, sampled music. Most of the time it is a short loop, but it does the trick very well. The music is composed by Moby. No, not THE Moby, rather a well known musician from the Amiga demo scene. It couldn’t be more fitting for this game. Great stuff actually! While some background graphics would have really added the extra punch, Super Stario Land just feels amazingly polished. Mostly due to the super slick scrolling (and oh boy what a difference it is after playing flip screen platformers like The Blues Brothers or Titus the Fox!). Super Stario Land plays like a dream on an Atari STe. The game is colorful enough, the sprites are nicely detailed, but most importantly, this just looks like a Mario game!December 18, 2017 by ST Graveyard
One thing is for sure, they really had some talented graphic artists over at Titus. Again, this game features beautiful, cartoony sprites with some nice animation (the faces the little fox makes when he is hit or dies are just funny). And as in great Titus tradition, there is also some recycling going on. For example, the bulldogs which you encounter in the first level are ripped straight out of level 5 of the Blues Brothers (or the other way around). But hell, no problem, it all looks great. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with the colorpalette at first. I'm not the biggest fan of the brownish tone in which this game seems completely engulfed. But this is solved later on as there seems to be a lot of variety in level design after a while. This game features the notorious flipscreen engine, as in all Titus platformers, which is something you have to get used to. There are also some minor issues with slow downs on some screens, as enemy activity sometimes goes through the roof! (more on that later)
Four years ago, Thomas Ilg released a new version of his first PD game Laserball. Originally released in 1990, this new version was available complete in cardboard box! And thus making one of his ambitious dreams come true. That wasn't the last we would hear from Thomas. 2 years ago he teamed up with Alan Tomkins and created the crazy Anarcho Ride! Time to talk to this very interesting person, don't you think?

Read interview of Thomas IlgDid you know that there are some love messages in the TOS ROMs of the ST? In fact you can find the strings "Dave StaUgas loves Bea Hablig" and "JIM LOVES JENEANE" in all TOS ROMs with version number 1.xx and 2.0x!
