Thothy (Hatari developer) wrote:
Hatari version 0.95 has been released. This release brings you basic Atari TT and Falcon emulation! Please note that both new emulation modes are still highly experiemental, some few games and demos work, but most still have more or less big problems. Basic emulation of Falcon video shifter (Videl), NVRAM and DMA sound is in place. The biggest drawback: There is no working Falcon DSP emulation yet.
Other things that have been added / fixed:
- Screen/Shifter emulation timings have slightly been changed. Some things now work better, some others work worse...
- Some patches for compiling on RiscOS and AmigaOS have been included.
- Compiling Hatari for Windows now works better.
- Added Hatari icon (hatari-icon.bmp).
- Fixed "movec" bug in 68020 CPU mode.
- Keyboard shortcuts for loading & saving memory snapshots (AltGr+k & AltGr+l).
- The built-in debugger has been slightly improved to be more user-friendly.
- Added "hmsa" tool - a little program for converting .MSA files to .ST and vice versa.
You can download the source code and binaries (for Linux/i86 and Windows) from the official Hatari website.
Last but not least, a Windows binary has been compiled by Ecureuil. You can find it by clicking on this link.

A smaller fix pack than usual due to the "Human Patching Macine" CJ having what seems well earned rest, but find patches for:
- Bubble Bobble
- Frontier: Elite 2
- Gobliiins 1 & Gobliins 2 (always select '5' on the protection check! Also, there are 2 versions of the loader bundled: One for ST/E/MEGA/CT6x and one for Falcon030!!)
- Knights of the sky
All are available on D-Bug website.

What, another french game?
Yes, but this one takes part of a famous french comic book: Lucky Luke. The game is based upon one of the caracters of the comic book Rantanplan "the stupidest dog in the universe".
The game was retrieved by Marcer. The disk was already hacked by The Magician (probably between 89-89). If you have already visited old Florent Coste website, you probably know how rare this game is!
So enjoy: go for a ride on La Mascotte page and welcome in American Old West!

Recently received an email from Tufty who was involved in a number of well known (well to the UK PD scene) sample demos like Chaos's Ambience and Oxygene4.
Anyway he's dug up some old un-released stuff so check...

Turrican 2 is just awesome! It still is the best game in its genre. 5 worlds might seem a bit on the low side, but if you wander around some, you'll be busy for a while. And so what, I've finished it a million times and still load it up now and then.

Read the review of Turrican II - The Final FightIn 1984, Atari posted losses of $536 million as a result of the videogame market crash.
