Most of you might have noticed it by now, you don't have to play this game for its graphics and sound effects. It's in gameplay were this thing shines! You play as Bomb Jack, and you have to defuse all the bombs on each screen, even though they'll never blow up! "Bomb Jack" is a game in the vein of "Bubble Bobble", only a bit faster. Our hero has no problem flying to the top of the screen. Just press the fire button to lift off, press the fire button again to make him stop and let him float down. Press the fire button repeatedly to skillfully glide through the air! May 22, 2002 by ST Graveyard
The first 3D snooker game...It looks fantastic! You can have a nice overview from a static "behind the white ball" viewpoint, or you can switch to a "follow the shot" camera view. Everything scrolls silky smooth and looks realistic. I just can't think of anything negative here...The aiming, the shots, the collisions with the other balls or with the cushions...It's almost real! By now you all must think I hate this game. Well, not really, it's actually pretty fun to play, especially if you're a fan of the movie. Robocop on the ST is a straight forward run, jump and shoot game. You start with 3 lives and its your job to kick (or shoot) the sh*t out of the scumm that attacks you to finally reach the end of a level! There are some power ups to grab (like the three way shooter), extra power and more! The game is loosely based on the events seen in the movie. You'll encounter the motorcycle gangs, you'll have to do some gun practice...April 30, 2002 by Lorenzo
Well, you' ve seen the screenshots, and maybe you' ve all been wondering what' s so special about it... I mean, there' s the track, the grass, a few obstacles and objects scattered here and there, and the bikes are only made up of a few ugly polygons... yep, alright, but you gotta see the scrolling ! It' s incredibly fast and as smooth as silk, and the fps rate never slows down, even when there are many drivers on the screen... wonderful !!!April 27, 2002 by ST Graveyard
guess most people who visit this site have seen the movie "Tron"! It was the first movie with actual computer animation in it! In this picture a bunch of people (including Jeff Bridges) got stuck into a computer system. They had to get rid of all the bad software elements. These elements (virusses...) where depicted by other human actors. Why do I tell you this? Well, the game "Disc" reminds me a lot of one of the games that takes place in this film. Where Jeff Bridges character (if I'm not mistaking) tries to push the enemy of a cliff by throwing a disc at him! If you have no clue what I'm talking about, you should definitely give this movie a try!
Marcus Platt is the creator of the hidden gem STORM '94. His game was based on some old game logic he once made in the 80's on a ZX Spectrum. But it never turned into a game. Until he witnessed Alien Breed on his friend's Amiga. STORM '94 is a fantastic game that deserves way more attention. You have seen the video, now it is time to learn even more about the man behind the game.
