Avenger strikes back and brings you 9 Lives! This time it's a team release!
Now you should wonder why we release this game that was already put on various compilation disks long time ago? According to this thread, the game was just a preview/demo version, not the complete one! Goldrunner (the leader of GameBaseST project) posted a Pasti file of the original version on the forum, so we got finally a full disk of it. Avenger removed the protection, while Mug UK and Klapauzius trained the game. Klapauzius also compiled the whole disk, so here is a definitive release of 9 Lives. It has the sampled tune at the intro, and now the game begins like the Amiga version does.
Another day, another release: the full version of 9 Lives is now available.

If you are an addict player, you probably know Murder. The english version of the game has been hacked and spread by Illegal/Empire more than 15 years ago. But you probably don't know that the game was also sold in french language and never hacked before today.
Our great member Avenger brings you now a fully filed/hacked/packed version of the game. The game doesn't request any question at the beginning (compare to the Empire version) and it's filed perfectly. A very good job! Thanks also to Dungeon.Master (another member of AL team) for the original disk of the game.
Maybe it's time for you to download Murder? More rare stuffs will follow!

The new year promises a very good era for games! So an old totally unknown title has been posted by Christos (thanks to him!). This one is a great Tetris clone, and it works on any ST/STE/Falcon machine. Falcon users will enjoy a 4 channels module, while ST/STE users will hear Mad Max 'Wings Of Death' tune.
So what's up with this game? It has been coded more than 10 years ago by a greek coder and it's a very rare stuff. It has probably never been distributed outside the Greece (at least we have never seen it before today).
Don't wait and go to the Metal Link page to try the game!
And don't forget to leave a comment on the forum if you like it.

A new disk from the famous D-Bug guys is now available. It features the following stuffs:
* Orbiter
* Well 'Ard
* The Adventures of Alice who went through the looking glass and came back, though not much changed
* In the Year 2093
We at Atari Legend also planed to release Orbiter very soon. Our member Avenger cracked this game long time ago but we didn't release it prompt enough. D-Bug were faster than us ;-)
Anyway we'll release it as soon as possible in a stand alone version. And don't forget to visit regulary because a lot of rare games will be posted there in the next weeks!
Now it's time for you to download D-Bug 189 on the official website.

The discussion began on the forum. After a request by Heavy Stylus and a hack by Mug UK, the author of Well 'Ard has posted his game freely.
There is no more need to enter a code in order to access all levels.
Well 'Ard is now freely distributed and you can download the full version here. Also see the codes on the same page.
Thanks to Simon Scott for this cool gift!

As promised two days ago, we bring you a rare game now! The name of the game is Vigilante. It was never correctly hacked, but here is a working version done by our marvellous member Klapauzius.
The original game has been supplied by cb and it required two disks. This version has been fully packed, filed and trained (still by Klapauzius). So it uses one single disk. The intro has been coded by Zorro 2 and designed by Mister A of No Extra.
Thanks to everyone who took part to this great release! Happy new year to all!
When I first started playing Parasol Stars, the gameplay felt very familiar - which is a good thing. However, it soon became clear that this game is actually Bubble Bobble on steroids. There is so much going on it makes your head spin. Baddies are flying over the screen, stages get constantly filled with bonus goodies, sometimes you just don't know where to look first, but you get used to it. After 2 sessions I had the feeling I was missing out on things and had to read the manual again before I could continue. And I find this a bit of a negative for a game of this kind. Simplicity should be key.

Read the review of Parasol StarsIn the mid 80's Atari was approached by a company called Nintendo. They asked if Atari was interested in distributing their new 8 bit system. At that time, Jack Tramiel was head of the Atari company. He declined the offer, saying Atari wanted to stop releasing consoles and focus on personal computers instead! So in the end, Nintendo had to distribute the consoles themselves ... In just a few months, they wiped Atari from the throne!
