Loriciel was a french company created by Marc Bayle and Laurent Weill in 1983. The first name of the society (Loriciels with -s-) was taken from the Oric computer. The company began to publish Atari ST games developed by various editors in 1987. Later they also made of their own plenty of hits such as Tennis Cup, Panza Kick Boxing or Jim Power. The society was in brankput in 1992 and renamed to Virtua Studio. It finally died a few months later. Non official website was www.loriciel.org. The site seems to be down now.

guess most people who visit this site have seen the movie "Tron"! It was the first movie with actual computer animation in it! In this picture a bunch of people (including Jeff Bridges) got stuck into a computer system. They had to get rid of all the bad software elements. These elements (virusses...) where depicted by other human actors. Why do I tell you this? Well, the game "Disc" reminds me a lot of one of the games that takes place in this film. Where Jeff Bridges character (if I'm not mistaking) tries to push the enemy of a cliff by throwing a disc at him! If you have no clue what I'm talking about, you should definitely give this movie a try!
When thinking of future sports games on the ST, Speedball 2 is the game that comes to mind. But there was another really addictive, fast and furious 2-player game that you may have never heard of. It is called Disc and is an absolute must play! I had the pleasure of talking to its creator, Alexis Leseigneur.
